A strange thing happened today in Portland:
There were dogs (OK, just one dog that I’m aware of), wearing fish neck ties, as a way to honor one of the two rivers that run through our fine city!
This is Pogo, a lovely Papillon belonging to Deb Wood. Deb is probably best known to Portlanders as the pet columnist for The Oregonian newspaper.
Pogo is sporting a lovely fish neck tie (trout or salmon, I’m not sure) as his way of celebrating the Willamette river during the PDX DogTown event (a part of the larger “RiverFest” celebration that’s been going on for over a week now).
More photos from the event in the days to come!

I LOVE this photo! This may be the best picture of Pogo EVER. I’m so pleased that you posted it!
It was so wonderful seeing you and the great Rugby today at the wonderful event.

Cute AND smart! He’s got a Utility Dog (UD) title in obedience and he’s a therapy dog as well!
