I just received a new book by author Trixie Koontz yesterday.
What? You say you’ve never heard of Trixie Koontz?
Perhaps you have heard of her ‘dad’, Dean Koontz.
Trixie Koontz is (was) a lovely Golden Retriever owned by the Koontz family. She has authored three books so far, including the latest, “Bliss To You“.
Now, perhaps you are like me and a bit skeptical about reading a book authored by a dog. What you need to know is that Trixie is not your average dog author. She’s highly intelligent and very witty.
Her step-by-step guide to finding bliss in your life is filled with many deep thoughts, including the following:
Think about this. Sun is 330,000 times bigger than Earth, is seething mass of thermonuclear reactions. Sometimes sun cools down teeny bit, Earth has ice age. Sometimes sun heats up teeny bit, Earth gets way hotter. Someday sun might heat up smidgin more than teeny bit, incinerate Earth instantly. Also, planet’s magnetic poll could shift, destroy civilization in one day.
So why be glum about cooking with trans-fatty acids?
Incidentally Dean Koontz donates all of his profits from the book to Canine Companions for Independence!
Maybe it’s just my odd sense of humor, but I LOVE Trixie’s writing!
