The 2008 Dove Lewis Corgi Walk
“A Corgi Walk in the Pearl”
If you happened to be in downtown Portland this morning, between the hours of 10AM and noon, you may have seen…oh…about 50 Corgis walking through the Pearl district. It was really quite the sight!
A benefit for the Dove Lewis Emergency Animal Hospital (a place both Zoey and Riley have used on different occasions), the walk was organized by Lynde Paule. Corgis of all shapes, colors, sizes and breeds were on hand to celebrate.
I, of course, had to participate. Rugby got to go along with me and he seemed to enjoy himself. Nobody could believe he was eleven-and-a-half years old. He’s very young-at-heart!
Did I mention there were PUPPIES there? At least two Pems and one Cardi. A blue merle Cardi. Watching them play did little to alleviate my puppy craving.
I took many photos and will spend quite a bit of time editing them. Here’s a sneak peak of two of the attendees today.
