They are just such beautiful dogs. Cardis are cute, but GSD’s are beautiful.

Some Dogs Are More Helpful Than Others…
On the police dog agility course, there was an obstacle (a wall) that was about 8 feet tall; the dogs were supposed to climp up and over it, but the handlers (the officers) could help their dogs over it as it was quite tall and many of the dogs could not scale it on their own. Some dogs really tried to do it on their own and their handlers didn’t have to help them very much:
Other dogs, however, seemed to have no problem letting their handlers do most of the work for them:
Any idea of how strong you must have to be to lift a full grown German Shepherd dog straight up in the air, eight feet high?

Police Dog Agility
Sure…my dogs all competed in dog agility…but they never got to go through a window jump…
Then again, I never got to carry a sidearm with me on an agility course, either…

Police Dogs ROCK!!!!
Is this not the most beautiful dog you’ve ever seen?
My mom and I went to watch the 4th annual Washington County Sheriff’s Office K-9 trials today. These dogs are truly amazing athletes. And you could really see how bonded the dogs and their handlers are to one another. It was a great afternoon. Maybe Washington County needs a few good Corgis on their police force…
I hope to get a few more photos up in the next few days…
